I just have some nice photos of scenery from the North Island of New Zealand (I live here ) I hope you enjoy!



My pony is called Yogy (Yogy Bear, but with a Y because it means something like 'adequate'/'useful'/'suitable' in sanskrit)
He is an 11 year old Kaimanawa pony, they are 'native' to New Zealand, found in the Kaimanawa ranges of the North Island. For more information, visit the Kaimanawa Heritage Horses website!

He has a great, laid back, sweet nature and is up to try anything



He is also naturally photogenic and will happily stand there and wait for me as I take pictures, usually looking at me, maybe wondering what on earth I'm doing..!


Muriwai, West coast of Auckland.

Where he grazes there is a huge farm, you can go on a circular trek on the farmland, it takes about 3 hours at an easy going pace, it has fantastic views!! You can see both the West and East coast of Auckland at the same time!

There are also quite a few cows on the farm, they are lovely

And finally the return journey! At the beginning his ears were pricked up because he was cautious and curious about his surroundings, but at the end he was just eager to get home!
